About Tyler Pelletier

I am a senior instructional technologist with over six years of experience working in higher education. My occupational background is primarily in technology, having worked in the past as a computer technician and, for the past five years, as an instructional technologist. During my time as a student at UMass Dartmouth, I worked as a writing tutor and peer mentor for other students. My combined experience working in mostly technology-oriented jobs with a liberal arts educational background has equipped me with a unique set of problem-solving skills, an eye for detail, and the ability to break down complicated technical concepts for others. I like to approach tech support like solving a puzzle, and I thrive in an environment that offers me plenty of chances to exercise my skills, think outside the box, and learn new things. Skills: • Over 8 years of combined experience working in technology support, diagnosing and solving technical issues for a variety of different clients. • Over 4 years of experience working with learning management systems and educational software. • Collaborated with professionals from a wide array of different industries and disciplines to construct online master courses and education modules. • Working knowledge of web development technologies and languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. • Proficient in common software suites such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and Articulate Rise 360/Storyline. • Experience using online conferencing/communication tools such as Zoom, Webex, and Microsoft Teams to conduct training workshops, provide technical support, and collaborate on projects. • Very strong reading comprehension and writing ability with past experience working as a certified writing tutor.
