About Tyler Power

Since my decision to pursue a degree in Earth Sciences, I have had Earth Science related employment working in various positions, attaining a variety of experience. Such employment includes working as a field assistant with Tripple Uranium Resources Inc. in 2007. The summer of 2008 was spent working with Starfield Resources in Nunavut. The summer of 2009 was spent in Newfoundland and Labrador, working with EagleRide Minerals Inc. Filling roles from Junior to Senior field geologist/assistant. Since completing my Bachelors of Science degree in Geology I have gained valuable working experience with Starfield Resources Inc. on their Ferguson Lake project located in Nunavut, during this time I was responsible for core logging, sampling, data compilation, map making, mapping, and drill supervision along with drill rig operations. In January 2013, I joined the exploration team with North American Palladium (NAP) at their Lac Des Iles mine site just outside of Thunder Bay, Ontario. During my time with NAP I was able to gain valuable experience in mine site regulations, safety and various other important training courses. With NAP I was a part of three extensive drilling programs during which I logged core, sampled core, followed and became familiar with proper QA/QC protocols, gained geotech experience, and much more including but not limited to drill supervision, safety, data follow up, map making, and channel sampling. In addition to my work experience, my university study has included two intensely field oriented field schools that introduce different field and mapping techniques. I have a working knowledge of the Microsoft package along with knowledge of ARCGIS and Map info.
