About Tyler Roth

Tyler Roth specializes in stylized and unique looks for his many commercial, episodic TV, music video and feature film clients. He has colored projects that have garnered awards at Sundance, Cannes, SXSW and other festivals and collaborated with many of the industry’s leading talents. Recent longform work includes the David Bowie IMAX experience Moonage Daydream for Oscar-nominated director Brett Morgen and Chris Pratt military thriller The Terminal List, Amazon Prime’s highest-rated show to date. In addition, Roth colored the powerful Oscar-nominated documentary Minding the Gap for director/DP Bing Liu; WW II-set dogfighting action film Wolf Hound and Hillary Swank-starring thriller Fatale, which was shot by the legendary Dante Spinotti, ASC, AIC. He also served as additional colorist with Jill Bogdanowicz on Marvel’s Black Widow and with Stefan Sonnenfeld on Michael Bay’s Ambulance. In the commercial realm, Roth has colored spots for top brands including Cadillac, Morreale Paris, Oakley, GOLF le FLEUR* and Modelo. He recently took home the Color Grading trophy at the Berlin Commercial Awards for his work on “Juggernaut” for rapper Tyler, The Creator and he received a nomination for AICP’s Post Awards in the Color Grading category (Under :60) for the eye-catching Aston Martin spot “A New Dimension.” Recent music work includes projects for artists including Charlie Puth, Dua Lipa, Maluma, Kelly Rowland and Marshmello. Roth began his career as a colorist in 2006 in Chicago. In 2012, he supervised the creation of Company 3’s facility there, leading that studio before relocating to Los Angeles in 2018.
