About Tyler Schaefer

Growing up surrounded by music, I always found myself exploring new genres and constantly keeping music playing around me. As I grew up I discovered a passion to shape sound due to my poor ability to play an instrument myself. Finding a class for Radio/Audio Production at the East Valley Institute of Technology, I began my journey into the audio field. As a student/intern I created PSA’s and promos for the school’s radio station. From there, my instructor pointed me in the direction of the Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences to continue into my career. At the Conservatory, I was taught in the fields of Music Production, Broadcasting, Post Production, and Live Sound. We had plenty of hands-on time with large format consoles such as the Neotek Elite, SSL G+, AWS948 and more. Studio etiquette and mic handling were a must know.Heading into the industry I hope to dive head first into music production and further my knowledge in the field.
