About Tyler Shelton

Wrapping up my Bachelor's of Science Degree for Management Information Systems at the University of Maryland, Global Campus (UMGC). Maintained Dean's List for entirety of attendance and have made it a challenge to achieve Dean's List for every semester. Currently working in a retail position that focuses on completing major projects weekly, such as changing displays or rearranging the shape of a bay or aisle to meet a vendor's needs. I have held this position for over 5 years, and have continued to learn team and project management experience for a small team of 10. Customer support is not our direct line of service, but is still delivered in a quick and substantial manner. Being in the work force has allowed me to discover my enjoyment of organization and planning, especially when dealing with larger projects. My experience with UMGC has provided me with the necessary knowledge to pursue a career that combines my current work experience with an alternative career option involving my passion for Computers and Information Technology. My desired career endpoint, as of this moment in time, is to be a Project Manager for an IT company. I have grown up in the age of technology and have a strong relationship with technology and computers alike. Pairing that with my passion for planning and organization, I believe that role will fit perfectly. Outside of my work and education, I spend my free time playing video games, watching sports, and watching TV shows. My favorite games: The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, Elden Ring My favorite sports: Basketball, Baseball, Hockey Current favorite TV Shows: Shameless, Peaky Blinders, Young Sheldon
