About Tyler Sleep
Since graduating from the Kalamazoo Valley Police Academy in May of 2006, I have been exposed to a wide variety of experiences. In the those 17 years, I have worked numerous small town Police Agencies inside of Kalamazoo, St. Joseph, and Van Buren Counties. Currently, I am a Sheriffs Deputy for the Calhoun County Sheriffs Office and am assigned to the Road Patrol Division which has approximately 50 sworn Deputies. Also during my 17 years, I have served as a Corrections Officer in a State Penitentiary in the State of Wyoming, and as a Corrections Deputy in Calhoun County Jail. This gives me about 1 1/2 years of Corrections experience combined. I have served as a Fire Fighter in Richland Township and have about two years of experience in that role. Not to leave anything out, I have worked for numerous Security companies in the Kalamazoo area, and even served as a Police Reserve for about a year even after already being an MCOLES certified Officer.
