Background

About Tyler Teggatz

I analyze and lead on all aspects of implementing and managing a state agency budget, including legislative financial analysis and grant management at the Department of Natural Resources. I prepare the agency’s portion of major financial statements such as the ACFR and Federal Single Audit, as well as any on‐demand financial reports and analysis needed by agency leadership. I communicate with internal staff and across agencies to prepare and manage fiscal notes and related legislative communications. I also calculate the agency‐wide federal indirect rate and managed negotiations with federal agencies. Prior to my experience at the Department of Natural Resources, I worked for over 11 years in accounting and tax preparation. My changing portfolio of work often included thousands of accounts with varying investment objectives. In addition, my experience also includes managing payments for hundreds of fiduciary accounts as well as reconciliation of in‐house suspense and withholding accounts.
