Uplifted Society Inc is the umbrella corporation to UPSO Clothing, UPSO Studios, and UPSO Youth Assistance Program. Initially started just as a clothing brand from 2012 - Present but has developed quickly into a full branding and clothing manufacturing hub. 2019 we opened a 2500 sqft space where we can manage all businesses under one roof (umbrella). We starter off with small clients and quickly started getting recognition from companies such as Trillium Health Partners, Toronto Police, OCAD University, Red Bull and many more. During the pandemic we were only sligthly affected by the complete shut down. We were one of the early adapters to manufacture PPE. We managed to stay in business and also provide some hope when we needed it the most. We have currentlt went back to full operation but continuously manufacturing PPE (Non-medical) UPSO Youth Assistance Program is the not-for-profit organization that was create in the midst of the pandemic to get started at the drawing board for the future issues that will arise. Here is a brief description. Mission: To Uplift Society by offering young people equal access to creative programming, mentorship, and opportunity; regardless of their financial situation, gender, race or beliefs. Objective: To provide people age 15-30 (geared to income, low, or no cost) personalized and accessible programming into the entry level creative design, production, and e-commerce fields. To help foster the next generation of creative entrepreneurs giving more people, more opportunities to Uplift Society. Our Belief: We firmly believe, and have countless studies that prove, when young people have free or low cost access to quality programming and opportunity to develop skills they are exponentially more likely to become happy, successful and beneficial members of society. It’s pretty much a no brainer unfortunately that’s simply not the case for a lot of people. We believe, with a little help, we can make a big difference. The City of Mississauga Over 10 years as the Youth Engagement Coordinator experience. In this time I was able to give out volunteer hours to over 200 youth and young adults. With the help of the volunteers we created a lengthy report, and a 600 signature petition for the Major explaining the need for rejuvenating the Huron Park Community Centre Outdoor basketball court. The initiative was granted for the rejuvenation. The basketball court is used daily!
