About Tyrone Jackson

My Story My story fundamentally begins with an incident that took place in my youth. My mother shared with me the experience of being called to my school by one of my teachers. And, upon my mother's arrival, she asked my teacher what's wrong. My teacher responded that there was not anything wrong, except that your son does not talk. My mom presented the details of this incident to me much later in my adult life. My thinking is she chose to do so because she had come to believe that my new demeanor had eclipsed that period of my life. Should that have been her reasoning, I would tend to agree because of what people now speak of me, that I have a way with the words and that I am a wordsmith. I would additionally agree because of what I speak of myself, that I love language, its texture, its nuances, and its resonance. Over the years, it has been of my observation that not anything exceeds the power of language to transform human life. In Bible, it reads,"Romans 12:2 "Don't be conformed to the patterns of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your minds so that you can figure out what God's will is—what is good and pleasing and mature." Common English Bible (CEB) This is one of my favorite verses of the Bible. As human beings, the renewing of our minds should include the rejuvenation of the human body and the human spirit. I believe that every human being is born with many inherent qualities. And if given the appropriate environment and nurturing, are served with an opportunity to unearth a potential far more significant than would be otherwise imagined. I have learned that among my inherent qualities is the ability to write in a way that expands the boundaries of established norms. And, that my skill set additionally includes the ability to rewrite definitions that broaden the scope of their applications, as well as revisions and reforms of system standards for greater effectiveness and efficiency.
