About Tyson Hepburn

I began my career by developing and selling original projects to established production companies. Some of my earliest work includes PYROS (Omnifilm Entertainment) and JACKED (Pixcom). My first major breakthrough came with Cold Water Cowboys, a hit series I co-created with Oscar-nominated producer David Paperny. As a co-creator and executive producer, I’ve had the opportunity to help bring several successful docuseries to life. One of the highlights has been Rust Valley Restorers, which has reached audiences worldwide through Netflix International and History Canada. I’ve also worked on other well-known series like Cold Water Cowboys and Pets & Pickers, both developed in collaboration with Bell Media. I co-founded Mayhem Entertainment, where I created Rust Valley Restorers—my biggest hit to date—for Corus Entertainment. Rust Valley Restorers sold to Netflix and became a global phenomenon. In 2020, I stepped out to launch Tyson Media Productions. Our first project, Pets & Pickers, has grown into a successful series now in its third season. It airs on Crave, Animal Planet, and Discovery Canada, and has expanded to Animal Planet USA, HBO Max, and ROKU internationally. Most recently, Bell Media announced our newest series; a spin off called 'My Pet Ate What!'—a 14-episode, half-hour format. I’ve always been driven by a passion for unique, character-driven stories that connect with audiences on a deeper level. As I continue to build and develop new projects, my focus remains on pushing boundaries and delivering compelling content that resonates both at home and around the world
