Experienced Basketball Player with a demonstrated history of working in the sports industry. Skilled in Sports Industry, Sports Management, Coaching, Athletics, and Sports Coaching. Strong community and social services professional with a Diploma focused in Sport and Fitness Administration/Management. Tyson is now the co-founder of Mr Potato and is the Managing Director of the Mr Potato Group of companies. Tyson founded Mr Potato in 2018 with his partner Jess Davis. Although Tyson had no prior business experience before founding Mr Potato, he spent his entire late teens & early twenties being heavily involved in his passion, which was basketball. He spent the last 4 years of his basketball career playing with the Adelaide 36er’s. Through this he learnt very valuable skills, including determination, resilience, persistence, team work, leadership & the ability to work alongside a diverse range of people. These skills were all transferable over to business & have helped him immensely throughout his journey with Mr potato. Since the founding of Mr Potato in 2018 the brand has had a great success, opening 4 locations within the first 2 years, with opportunities to expand across Australia and the globe in the years to come. After spending 1 full year working within the business to create all of the procedures, recipes & systems, they began writing the franchise operations manual. Mr Potato is now looking for franchising opportunities across Australia & internationally. Their goal is to become one of the #1 QSR’s in the world, whilst creating a positive change in the fast food industry.
