About Tyson Holder

My personal mission is to assist students with developing academically, socially, ethically, and professionally. I am dedicated to doing everything that I can to assist students with achieving their goals of graduating and entering a career that they have always dreamed of. I enjoy roles which allow me the opportunity to be an advocate and continue to develop my leadership skills.I believe that a college degree can be a life-altering achievement. Not only does it open many doors in regards to potential careers, but it also builds self-confidence and other vital skills. As a first generation college student, I am a living example as to how obtaining a college degree can leave a profound impact on an individual. It is my goal to assist at-risk students with achieving their degree, so that future generations can benefit from the many great gifts that they bring to the table. I have experience providing individual and group counseling; developing and implementing training and leadership development to students; conducting program evaluations; teaching; developing and implementing lesson plans; providing academic support services to students in a variety of different formats; career counseling; mental health diagnoses and service delivery; and developing diversity and cultural enrichment programming to students, faculty, and staff.
