Embarking on a career in healthcare management, I hold an MBA. My role as a manager at a pulmonologist's office has been marked by coordinating the integration of a new provider all while transitioning into an new office space, and growing the number of patients we serve. Prior to that I helped comanage a recently acquired clinic and helped other clinic acquisitions blend their records into the hospital's electronic medical records systems. Beyond traditional duties, I led the design and implementation of a referral tracking system, successfully managing two years' worth of referrals. My career story extends beyond healthcare into realms of teaching, sales, and management. For seven years, I instructed classes at a local university, guiding students through camping, hiking, survival, and mountain biking. The culmination of these classes was a meticulous preparation for a 3-day backpacking trip, covering wardrobe choices, trip planning, first aid, and the essential Leave No Trace principles. In the dynamic world of bike shops, I served as a manager, refining procedures and creating a comprehensive service department program to simplify the check-in process for mechanics. Simultaneously, as the inventory manager, I integrated all items into the Point of Sales system, introducing restock and reorder point levels. This strategic approach not only reduced out-of-stock occurrences but also elevated the overall customer experience. In my varied career journey, I'm enthusiastic about utilizing my diverse skill set to achieve success in healthcare management and beyond.
