Background

About Tytti Laine

I am a dedicated professional with a dual career in social support services and the language industry. In my role as a Sessional Support Worker, I provide employment and skills services to empower clients to achieve their potential. I also support key workers, lead practitioners, and senior practitioners in helping vulnerable individuals in homeless hostels move toward recovery and a better quality of life. Additionally, I am the owner of Vellamo Language Services, a London-based company with over 20 years of experience in the language industry. We offer high-quality translation, revision services, project management, and language and cultural training. I specialise in Finnish and English and am an authorised translator in both directions. I have also embraced AI-assisted translation and post-editing, combining cutting-edge technology with expert human oversight to deliver precision and efficiency in translation projects. I am passionate about making a positive impact, whether by supporting individuals to rebuild their lives or bridging language and cultural gaps through my linguistic expertise.
