About Udo Bux
Lawyer and journalist. Read law at Erlangen University. Articled clerk in Nürnberg and Luxembourg (Luxembourg). Second state exam. PhD on European broadcast law and the freedom of establishment. After working as a newspaper reporter in Buenos Aires (ARG) and Nürnberg (D), entered the European civil service in 1994 in the European Parliaments’ legislative coordination service. Have subsequently being attached to ENVI, JURI, IMCO and BUDG committee secretariats and the EP’s representation offices in Bonn and Berlin. Then Policy Analyst at the Directorate General for the Internal Policies of the European Parliament in Brussels dealing with and publishing about issues like European civil procedure, intellectual property law, artificial intelligence, company law. I know the European decision making process from the inside. Having for a long time worked in an EU institution at its very heart (the committees) I am currently Head of the EP Liaison Office in Munich, Germany.
