Competitor Product Analysis • Ongoing analysis of competitor product and strategies to maintain Daikin’s competitive edge • Research competitor products regarding features, benefits, pricing and technology, using a variety of resources such as online content, brochures, etc. Product Launch • Prepare and submit relevant Master Data templates for new product, as required and according to Daikin policy. • Management of New product introduction process o Engage with market and internal Sales to identify opportunity/need o Develop proposal for management review & PDM submission o Liaise with R&D and Daikin factories regarding product specifications, development, delivery, etc. o Manage the product launch process o Promotional announcements/training/product marketing Engineering Support • Ensure that the Engineering Data books, DA Selection for all products are maintained in the correct format. • Provide technical advice across all products to sales offices nationally. • Register new products being imported with local regulatory bodies like EECA, MEPS by closely working with Australia product management team Marketing Support • Providing technical support to Marketing for the development of RA / Ducted brochures, website, flyers, including product description, specifications and checking overall marketing content • Development and release of technical product information and other collateral o Trade price strategy o E/D & selection software Special Projects/Other • Assists with relevant Marketing and product-related projects where required. • Communication of Product changes with factory and internal stakeholders • Present product requests and prepare for product request to factory by capturing market trends and competitor product • Ongoing support of current product range o Propose improvements where required o Provide technical support where required • Regulatory standards o Ongoing reviews of current and new product to ensure all regulatory standards are adhered to.
