About Ujjal Gupta

My purpose is to develop happy workplaces which deliver ambitious business results in a sustainable manner. I pursue my mission of developing such happy, ambitious and effective workplaces by providing coaching and mentoring support to entrepreneurs and business leaders. This helps in raising the standards of leadership practised throughout the organisation. In such a workplace environment, every participant feels inspired to give their best performance and gets fulfilled at the end of each day. Given my finance background, my coaching and mentoring style is a combination of business and financial acumen with coaching skills. Consequently my coaching is focussed on driving business bottom lines, and addresses the leader’s behavioural goals and team interactions aligning them to the team's business deliverables. In pursuing my mission, I bring in more than 30 years of corporate experience and professional skills, having worked in multinationals, such as, Unilever Group and WPP Group, and in RPG Group, an Indian business house. During this period I have often been part of the vital core of several successful turnaround teams, and was also a key member of the leadership teams of several start up divisions. As a CFO and later as a consultant, I have advised CEOs in planning growth strategies – organic, start ups and through merger and acquisitions – and enabled their practical implementation. In addition to being a certified professional coach with PCC credentials from the International Coach Federation, I am also Team Coach Global Certificate holder as team coach and an accredited business mentor certified by the Association of Business Mentors, UK. As a Certified Genos International Emotional Intelligence Practitioner, I carry out E.I. assessments for executives, and teams and provide support in development of leadership competencies.
