About Ulises Juliao

Co-Founder & Director (Panama) Diploma in Structural Architect & AA Master of Architecture Ulises Juliao is Co-Founder and Director of PODA Arquitectos. He is a specialist in advanced architectural design with a strong knowledge of details, rationalization and construction. Additionally, he has experience in all stages of design and construction. Juliao received a Master's degree in Emergent Technologies & Design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, England (2014) and a Bachelor's Degree in Structural Architecture from the USMA, Panama (2009). In addition, he has complemented his architectural training with several trips and international workshops in advanced architecture, design and manufacturing in Central America, South America, Europe and the Scandinavian countries. He has collaborated for some of the best national firms allowing him to gain experience in a wide range of projects, scales and typologies. Additionally, he worked for the construction of the Biodiversity Museum (Biomuseo), the first project designed and built by Frank Gehry in Latin America. He directed the architecture department and was responsible for the rationalization of the design, construction logic and supervision of execution of the building envelope.*The Architectural Association School of Architecture, is known as one of the most prestigious architecture institution in the world, owning the first position in the ranking worldwide.
