About Uma Kalidindi

Over the past 10 years, I’ve evolved with the data landscape—growing from analysis to engineering—always with the goal of making data more accessible, reliable, and impactful. I spent most of those years working as an Analyst, where I developed a strong foundation in understanding data, identifying patterns, and delivering insights that support business decisions. That experience shaped my ability to see both the technical and strategic sides of data. In recent years, I’ve stepped into the role of a Data Engineer, where I’ve been responsible for designing and building end-to-end data pipelines. From analyzing source systems and applying complex transformations to loading clean, analytics-ready data into target platforms, I’ve enjoyed being hands-on at every stage. I’ve also worked extensively with Apache Airflow to orchestrate workflows and troubleshoot DAG failures, ensuring reliability and performance in production environments. What drives me is a genuine passion for learning and applying new ideas to real-world challenges. I’m always exploring new tools and techniques to improve how data is handled, delivered, and used to make better decisions.
