I am a 7 year+ experienced Design Tech + ICT Teacher who specializes in developing MYP & PYP ICT curriculum and Environmental projects. During the pandemic I have been recognized for leading remote learning by the German Agency of Schools Abroad. My committed approach to teaching technology has ensured that students develop critical thinking skills and are digitally aware of real-world scenarios in the future of technology. Key Achievements - Design Tech Facilitated Rube Goldberg projects, theme based Escape Room projects in Grade 6, 3D bloxels characters (3D printing) in Grade 7, website designing and Sketchup 3D designs in Grade 8, Arduino Product Design and Virtual Tours projects in Grades 9/10 with routine formative and summative assessments ensuring 90% critical thinking skills development among students and 100% accountability in terms of rubrics and grading. Led co-curricular activities like Robotics and facilitated photography and video production design skills in Grade 4 and 5 and green screen projects in Grades 7 and 8 which led to exemplary social and presentation skills among the students in other disciplines. Established official school certificates for English Debating Club and Maths Kangaroo Competition as well as coached teachers on use of design tools like Canva, Photoshop, etc. to promote poster making in Grades 6-10 which resulted in standardization of rewards and 80% teacher engagement with these design tools. Key Achievements - ICT - IB PYP & MYP Deployed Hopscotch, Bloxels, javascript app coding, arduino projects, Google Suite, photo and video editing, digital citizenship in both elementary and middle schools which resulted in coding and subject knowledge of ICT being improved by 85%. Purchased innovative technology like 3D printer, Arduino/ Raspberry Pi, other sensors and electronics to facilitate coding skills/ product design amongst Grades 9 and 10 which resulted in 80% achievement of the digitalization mission of the school. Led highly successful social media campaign projects with emphasis on slow journalism documenting everything through technology which resulted in a 75% increase in writing, social, critical thinking and technical skills development in Grade 9. Developed a new ICT curriculum MYP & PYP for grades 4-10 which resulted in 100% increase in student engagement and effective assessing of technical skills of students.
