About Uma Vasudevan

With over 30 years of work experience in the industrial technology, food technology and chemical engineering fields, I am a passionate and driven leader who strives to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions for hygiene and maintenance. As the General Manager Asia Sales at ORAPI ASIA, I oversee the profitability and growth of the subsidiary companies in Malaysia and Thailand, as well as the distributor market in Asia.I am committed to ensuring strict compliance to cleaning protocols, productivity, health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as creating value for our customers, partners, and stakeholders. In my current role, I leverage my PhD in Chemical Engineering and my expertise in new business development, distributor and general management to identify and pursue new opportunities, expand our market share, and enhance our brand awareness. I also manage and mentor a diverse and talented team of sales, marketing, and technical professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, excellence, and innovation. Some of my recent achievements include securing a large contract with a leading food and beverage company, an airlines MRO, launching a successful webinar series to promote our products and services, and obtaining multiple certifications and honors from reputable organizations.
