About Umar Awan

As a Production Support Engineer at NGTSol (Next Generation Tech Solutions) since Oct 2021, I have been responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues in staging, dev, and production environments. I have experience in Linux server administration, including user creation, groups, space issues, and maintenance activities. I have also managed public cloud services such as AWS EC2, S3, Route53, IAM, ASG, SGs, CloudWatch, VPC, NAT Gateway, ALB, ELB, WorkMail, Load Balancers, and CloudFormation. Additionally, I provide SSH and Sudo access using public key with Ansible Playbook and handle package management using yum and rpm. I have installed and configured Apache and Tomcat servers and have experience in cloud networking (Firewalls, NAT, VPN). In addition, I have experience in monitoring application usage and other issues to determine current problems using modern tools like Splunk, DataDog, and ELK. I have also used IAM policies and roles to limit access to AWS resources. I have migrated websites from shared servers to the cloud (AWS). As a Freshservice Architect at NGTSol since Oct 2021, I have designed a complete architect for ITSM for many clients based on the requirement and deployed ITSM (Request, Incident, Problem, Change, Release Management). I have also deployed ITOM to fully automate different application alert monitoring and completed asset management life cycle from capturing every asset in an organization, including hardware, software, and networks, to retire or restore. I manage and update modules with the latest techniques to stay up to date and have automated systems to improve the team's productivity. I integrate 3rd party apps to make the system more flexible. I also perform custom application integration to automate things, automate workflows for different operations using APIs, orchestration, and other custom methods. As a Technical Support Engineer at NGTSol from Oct 2019 to Oct 2021, I represented customer needs as part of providing IT services that meet or exceed business needs and was responsible for the optimal operation of our environment by actively investigating issues and solving problems before they occur. I worked with ITSM team members, internal customers, and external partners to design, develop, configure, test, document, and deploy new functionality and fix existing issues. Overall, I am a results-driven professional who consistently delivers quality work in a timely manner.
