About Umar Faruque

I deliver results. That has been my mantra for the past decade of my work life. Over the past 10 years I have worked in multiple areas in the finance world. These are: Hedge funds accounting Reference data management Financial Risk Regulatory Reporting Risk reporting and analytics Project on-boarding and optimisation All these years, the one thing that has been constant across all these verticals are the following: I have consistently delivered excellent results. I have always delivered projects on or ahead of time I have always collaborated with diverse teams to successfully onboard projects I have also successfully delivered process optimisations as well as automations that have saved a lot of FTE hours in almost all my roles. In every role, I have lead from the front and have always been a value creator. Another of my biggest strength has been helping on-board candidates right from the interview stage to mentoring them and training them as new joiners. I have over seven years of experience in interviewing and on-boarding people as well as managing small teams to deliver successful projects. Finally, I like to talk about my experiences on how to handle various interview scenarios as well as various life situations, that has over the years helped me navigate the corporate world.
