About Umar Mahdi

I am a Senior at The George Washington University School of Business pursuing a BS in Business with Finance and Business Analytics Concentrations. These fields appeal to me due to my interest in financial markets, analysis, and strategy.At GW, I pursue opportunities that develop my skills and experiences like interning with Internal Audit at Fannie Mae, being the CTO at the GWU Credit Union Initiative, and being the Treasurer of the Club Golf Team. Additionally, I am involved in the Finance and Investment Club, Muslim Students Association, and the DREAMS Organization. Through these opportunities, I am able to gain valuable skills like risk analysis, audit support work, technology management, financial analysis, communication, and time management that will be beneficial in future endeavours. In addition, I value my strong academics and extracurricular engagements that can be put towards a future career opportunity.
