Interdisciplinary Researcher | Agri-Food Systems Innovator | Climate Resilience Advocate I am a final-year Doctoral Researcher @Natural Resources Institute (NRI), University of Greenwich, UK. My PhD focuses on the cascading effects of disruptive shocks on agri-food value chains (AFVCs) and strategies for systemic resilience building. Previously, I completed an MSc in Biodiversity Conservation and Rural Development as a Commonwealth Scholar at the University of Kent, UK, and earned a BSc (Hons) in Food & Agriculture from the University of the Punjab, Pakistan. Research and Innovation Expertise My research sits at the intersection of agri-food systems resilience, climate change management, and rural development. It explores cascading risks in agri-food systems, biodiversity conservation, and resilience-building strategies. Using mixed methods (semi-structured interviews, field surveys, focus group discussions) and real-world case studies (e.g, the Pakistan floods and the Suez Canal Blockade), I develop actionable insights to enhance global food security and supply chain resilience. Educator and Mentor As a dedicated educator, I bring research into the classroom through interactive lectures, labs, and mentorship sessions. I encourage critical thinking and real-world application to empower students in tackling pressing global sustainability challenges with confidence and creativity. Leadership in Action Leadership is at the core of my work. As President of the Doctoral Society at the University of Greenwich, I foster professional growth and inclusivity by organising impactful workshops and advocating for policies that elevate the doctoral community. I also serve as an Executive Member of the British Pakistani Student Portal, bridging academic and cultural communities through meaningful events and initiatives.
