Hello, my name is Umut Polat. I graduated from the English Translation and Interpreting program in June 2024. As a secondary language, I studied Spanish. I am proficient in English at an advanced level and have basic knowledge of Spanish. Additionally, I am skilled in Microsoft Office programs. In general, I am a responsible, punctual, and presentable individual who works well in a team. The greatest advantage of my profession is effective communication and persuasion skills. In the summer of 2023, I completed a voluntary internship at Sixt Rent a Car's headquarters, where I gained basic knowledge in sales and marketing. In addition to sales and marketing, I had the opportunity to demonstrate and further develop my skills in teamwork adaptation, active listening, observation, and presentation effectiveness in this company. After graduating, I have started working as an underwriter at the Auto Claims Department of Magdeburger Insurance General Directorate in December 2024. In the heart of the insurance sector, the auto damage operations department, I successfully improved my skills in time management, patience, stress resilience, and problem-solving by establishing effective communication with customers.
