At Abbe Center for Community Mental Health, our Accelerated Support and Access Program takes innovative strides in mental health and substance use treatment, ensuring accelerated and comprehensive care through collaborative relationships with criminal justice and crisis care continuum partners. My role as Program Lead synthesizes my educational journey at the University of California, Irvine, where I'm currently earning a Master's in Legal and Forensic Psychology, with my hands-on experience in crisis intervention and the intersection of mental health with the criminal justice system. The competencies gained through my graduate studies intertwine with my practical skills in communication, multi-tasking, and program development, honed during my diverse and multidisciplinary work and volunteer experiences. This powerful combination empowers me to effectively manage crisis intervention programs and forge stronger community connections, with a commitment to trauma-informed care and a philosophy of collaborative problem solving that benefits the most vulnerable individuals in our society.
