About Ursula Grant

With over 25 years in international development, I have worked in NGOs, research institutions/think tanks, and development consultancy - bringing together evidence, policy and practice to drive equitable change. I'm motivated by connecting research to real-world impact and working in allyship with partners to co-create inclusive, locally grounded solutions. I continue to learn the value of centring lived experience, contexutal knowledge and meaningful engagement for change and social justice. I have published research on poverty dynamics, inequality, and local/urban governance, and contributed articles, global reports, and many policy pieces, as well as blogs, toolkits and guides. I have a strong track record in business development - leading positioning work for high-value bids, managing proposals, and securing strategic frameworks. Throughout my career, I have participated in diverse international programmes and lasting partnerships. I've had the privilege of working directly with counterparts in Benin, France, Ghana, Jamaica, Kenya, Nepal, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Ukraine, and the UK, and have partnered remotely with colleagues in many other countries.
