About Utkarsh Singh

As a project engineer at Hitachi Energy, I work on grid automation solutions for renewable energy integration and grid stability. I apply my analytical and programming to design, test, and implement control algorithms and models for various grid components and scenarios. I pursued my master's degree in sustainable energy technology from TU Delft, a leading science and technology university globally. My thesis project focuses on the application of grid forming controls on type 3 and type 4 wind turbine models in the Migrate project, a European research initiative on grid innovation. I also created a DLL for the controls part and ran it in real-time with the model using HIL environment. My passion for sustainable energy stems from my previous work experience as a design engineer at Azure Power, a leading renewable energy player in India, where I was involved in designing and optimizing solar power plants. I also have experience working under esteemed banners like Honda Cars and Vedanta Aluminium & Power, where I gained exposure to mechanical engineering and power systems. I am always eager to learn new skills and technologies, and I have obtained multiple certifications in Matlab, Python, and data science from NPTEL, Udemy, and INSAID. I am also a proud alumnus of MNNIT Allahabad.
