About Utsav Doshi

Hi there! I’m Utsav Doshi, currently diving deep into my Master’s studies in Computer Science at NYU while also exploring the fascinating world of finance at NYU Stern School of Business. My journey has been anything but ordinary—I've had the chance to work on projects ranging from self-driving car perception systems to creating AI-driven tools for financial risk analysis. Each experience has fueled my passion for using technology to tackle real-world challenges. One of my most exciting projects was during my time at McKinsey & Company where I collaborated with a diverse team to develop an AI-driven financial risk analysis tool. We utilized Python and AWS technologies to improve forecast accuracy by 12% on datasets exceeding $10 million! It was rewarding to see how our efforts could make a tangible impact in the finance sector. Working with such talented individuals taught me the importance of collaboration and innovation. At NYU Stern School of Business as a Research Assistant, I developed a multimodal ML pipeline that combined YOLOv8 for ingredient-level object detection with Google Gemini Vision API for dish classification. This project not only honed my technical skills but also reinforced my belief in using AI for enhancing everyday experiences—like making healthier food choices easier! It’s these kinds of projects that keep me excited about what’s possible with technology. In addition to my academic pursuits, I've enjoyed mentoring aspiring tech enthusiasts through programs at Microsoft. Sharing knowledge and helping others grow is something I find incredibly fulfilling. Outside of work and studies, I love exploring new technologies and trends in fintech—there's always something new around the corner! I believe staying curious is key.
