I'm a Senior Consultant and Project Manager in the field of Geoinformatics at con terra GmbH in Münster (Germany). Holding a PhD in Geoinformatics, I worked from as consultant at zeb/ in Münster in the field of DataWarehousing and Database Marketing and before that from 1991-1996 as Research Associate at the Institute of Computer Science in Agriculture (University of Münster, Germany) in the field of Artificial Intelligence, Expert Systems and GIS. From 1989-1991 I had a PhD Scholarship of the SIEMENS AG, Munich, Germany (SIEMENS Research Centre, Department for Knowledge Engineering). With our team at the Institute of Computer Science in Agriculture I won 1993 the German Application Award for Artificial Intelligence for the plant desease expert system PRO_PLANT. In January I joined con terra as senior consultant for spatial (satellite) data infrastructures and project manager. Since then I have specialized on technical and organizational aspects of Spatial (mostly Earth Observation(EO)) Data Infrastructures, GIS and EO Interoperability Standards and Geo/EO-Metadata and have delivered a number of key projects with this focus. I'm highly experienced in international projects.
