I began my career in the commercial real estate business where I learned the asset management side and transitioned into owning and operating commercial properties. As my understanding of investment real estate grew, so did my desire to expand my knowledge into other investments. During the economic downturn of 2008-2009, my experience led me to M&F Bank where I served in the special assets division. We successfully built a team to assist the bank in disposing of problem loans, and distressed real estate. We successfully disposed of over $120 million in assets. Additionally, as the banking industry recovered, M&F Bank merged with Renasant Bank. More importantly, this created an opportunity to pursue the investment business through Raymond James where I work with a select group of families, business owners and professionals.
