In addition, holds American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP)-Board of Certficant. Has 24 years of post-PhD academic, pharma, biotech and molecular diagnostics experience in US and German laboratories. Led teams in molecular diagnostics, metabolic engineering of complex biosynthetic pathways for health beneficial metabolites, renewable chemicals in yeast, and genetic improvement of crops using biochemical, molecular genetic, functional genomics and bioinformatics approaches. Therapeutic oligonucleotides (aptamers: DNA, RNA and their combinations) and proteins expression, purification and characterization. Successfully completed several projects as evidenced by 24 papers in peer-reviewed high impact Biochemistry and Molecular Biology journals and 6 patents.
