About Valentin Bican

As a recent graduate with a BSc in Biology, I have gained laboratory experience through my final year project, where I expressed and purified a biomedically relevant protein and carried out stability tests using SDS-PAGE gel electrophoresis. I have a solid understanding of genetics and gene expression, as well as proficiency in cellular and molecular biology. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Biomedical Science, with a specialization in Cellular and Molecular Pathology. My dissertation for the MSc program involves research on COVID-19 and its impact on the pulmonary microvascular system. My goal is to become a competent biomedical scientist through this program, and to eventually work in this field in the future. In addition to my academic pursuits, I have also gained valuable skills through my previous work experience at Tesco, where I worked for 3 years in various roles such as checkouts and shop-floor team member. This experience has taught me the importance of teamwork, communication, and time management skills. I have also developed a good understanding of customer service and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
