About Valentin Clerc

Hi there! My name is Valentin. I am originally from France, and live in Los Angeles. I studied Sciences in High School, and then switched to languages once in University, completing a Bachelor’s Degree in American & British Cultures and Languages, followed by a Master’s Degree in French as a Foreign Language. When I was a student, I was more entertained by the expectations to meet at my jobs than by my studies. Indeed, I was passionate about businesses, logistics and executive positions. I am attracted to it and all the aspects behind it, such as: logistics, negotiations, reviewing contracts, handling supplies, checking on and evaluating budgets, taking care of an agenda, organizing meetings, communicating with the team, and taking care of our customers’ feedback, while always keeping a positive demeanor. I have had more than 10 different jobs over the last 6 years. I have always been working alongside my studies. I work and worked as a shipping and logistics manager, a campus aide, a private tutor, a nanny, a waiter, a student teacher, a model and a volunteer. All these activities made me really good at handling deadlines, time management, organizing a warehouse, developing procedures and protocols, developing my communication skills, and issuing reports and comments to my hierarchy or to a third party. My multidisciplinary background has made me a well-rounded person who excels in many fields. I am comfortable being a self-starter or a team player. I am pro-active, solve problems quickly and learn fast. I also have a growing interest in legal regulations and requirements, and am always willing to learn more. Best, Valentin
