About Valentin Correa

I am a Uruguayan music producer, sound designer, and audio engineer based in LA, currently pursuing a BFA in Music Technology at CalArts. My journey into music began at a young age when I learned to play guitar while finishing high school in Argentina, which deeply inspired me to start producing music. In 2018, I visited Berklee College of Music in Boston to attend a Music Production Summer Workshop, which further fueled my passion and encouraged me to continue my education overseas. Presently, I am actively involved in sound and music production for theater and film, collaborating closely with faculty member Cristian Amigo. Additionally, I contribute to various recordings of Jazz, Salsa, Rock, and World Music, under the guidance of faculty member and Grammy award-winning engineer John Baffa. Under the name Vantin, I produce, mix, and DJ House and Techno genres, while also engaging in projects ranging from Indie Rock to Hip Hop. Looking ahead, I aspire to obtain a diverse skill set for music and sound production and explore new collaborations. I am eager to contribute to different projects involving different forms of media.
