About Valentin Picant

With the final goal to take part in the bridging of fundamental immunology research with clinical applications, my entire education and professional experience have been dedicated to the understanding of the steps needed to generate and transform robust scientific observations into promising therapeutic strategies. After by B.Sc in life sciences, I followed an engineer degree to get specialized in drug discovery & development, intentionally completed with a selective M.Sc specialized in immuno-oncology and anti-cancer therapies. Being convinced that NK-centered immunotherapies might represent one of the next milestones to improve patient outcomes, I undertook a doctorate aiming to identify+characterize new cytokines involved in the functional regulation of NK cells. I completed my skills with a postdoctorate in the Innovation/Discovery department of Innate Pharma, a clinical-stage Biotech, with the ultimate goal to design innovative strategies to harness NK cell effector properties for therapeutic purposes (Oncology, Autoimmune diseases, Neurodegenerative diseases).
