About Valentina Bordon

I am a committed, resilient and detail-oriented worker, who has built her academic years around her passion for Forensic Psychology, striving to be as prepared as possible for her future career: I have several Forensic Psychology-relevant training, such as risk assessment training, standardised test administration training, and SOVA and SOCA training; I am currently an assistant psychologist to a Forensic Psychologist where I have had the opportunity to experience the practice and develop essential skills even before having entered my Stage 2. I consistently occupy my time with projects that will inform and further my objectives: I am in the Forensic Pscyhology Unit at Goldsmiths University where I also work as a Research Assistant for four separate projects. I have completed valuable experience working under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously, either alone or in a team: during my West London Mental Health NHS placement last summer I was solely responsible for multiple assignments, including multi-agency work. I have constantly dedicated myself to the help of vulnerable children and adults since a young age - I was a peer mentor from the age of 15 to the age of 18 and have been part of the TutorFair Foundation for vulnerable children since 2017 - and have received multiple awards for my volunteering efforts. I now work part-time as a support worker for vulnerable adults.
