About Valeria Counts

In the beginning of my college career, I was hired as a Member Services Representative at the YMCA of San Diego County. My purpose was not only to connect to and meet a diverse group of individuals, but it was also to make a change in the community. As my first job, I have learned many skills in taking transactions, learning essential listening skills while speaking to members, becoming proficient in our computer system, and being a leader at all times. Additionally, I'm a certified Zumba and Dance Instructor. Besides having the ability to teach vocabulary and interconnect with many human beings, I am able to share my passion for both of these arts. As a college graduate, I find myself even more passionate and driven to help those around me to achieve their goals and aspirations. Not only do I want to motivate myself in doing this, but I also want to help others. My dance and zumba students inspire me to get up in the morning and keep going! I now work in my dream job of being a Professional Ballroom Dancer & Dance Instructor. I have the privilege of working with talented adults, selling private and social lessons that focus on quality vs. quantity, and compete in various competitions. I'm honored to have three 1st place championships in Open Professional Rhythm & Pre-Champ in Nashville, TN.
