About Valory J. Lawrence

More than 15 years as a college professor, with 7 years' experience as an active participant in school-related events and support organizations. Academic skills include: curriculum development, individual and group training, and research methodology. Five plus years of experience in marketing communications, with a strong visual sense and excellent writing skills. Looking for a job with the ability to change lives through interpersonal relationships, mentoring, fundraising, policy and law changes. Something that allows for the education and communication of the importance of education. As a mixed race woman, whose 20 plus years of volunteerism support my ideals, I would like to work with multi-culturalism. I relish the thought of incorporating various cultural and regional practices with whatever job I end up doing. Ideally, this job would involve travel to explore culture and history. I have the ability to connect the history of local communities into the current population, as well as into the larger history of the area. My ideal job would contribute to the efforts to democratize quality educational opportunities for more people. It would use historical and current atmospheres regarding race and religion to further this goal across all lines.
