About Vamsidhar Kunta

Hi, I am Vamsidhar! I have around 7 years of experience in the analytics space with a primary focus on the Retail industry and BI development. I am currently working as a Data engineer at Kroger Technology and Digital, where I had the chance to contribute to a Streaming based ELT data product on the Azure ecosystem. I contributed to the product on various environments such as Azure event hubs, Azure function app, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure data explorer in a CI/CD work setup. Some of the coding languages I have used are Pyspark, SQL, Kusto and Python(pandas). I have also completed my Master’s in Business analytics degree from the University of Cincinnati. Over the course of my 5+ year tenure, prior to my master's, I had the opportunity to work with C-Suite and VP level stakeholders of multiple firms based in the USA. My work primarily focused on identifying business problems and subsequently devising actionable solutions for the same. Some of the work that I got to do in the Retail industry included analyses such as Competitor analysis, LTV analysis, Price-volume mix analysis and A/B testing, which helped me solidify my knowledge of the Retail industry. I also had the opportunity to build multiple BI solutions from the ground up, across various platforms with reporting infrastructure being setup on Tableau and PowerBI. These 5+ years have also helped me build a strong repertoire of tools and techniques such as Advanced Excel modelling, PowerPivot DAX modelling, Tableau dashboarding, Power BI, MS SQL Server and ETL design and development.
