Background

About Van der Ham

I see a second chance for used products, parts, cars, old houses and building materials. No recycling is needed just use what is good in its current state in a new function to save energy. During the bachelor course Industrial Design and Master course Integrated Product Design, I developed products individually and in teams in collaboration with various companies in the categories seating ergonomics, outdoor furniture, traffic safety, mobility, sports and healthcare. I appreciate a good balance between practical work and theoretical substantiation. In the design process I prefer to analyze product users, develop concepts, create prototypes and conduct tests. Besides product styling, the design of smart solutions with regard to use, material properties and producibility have my interest. Additionally I’m interested to look into possibilities to reuse product parts. My complete resume and portfolio are attached.
