About Van Huynh

As a Ph.D. candidate with 8 years of experience in Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology, I have been investigating cellular responses and damage repair mechanisms to complex DNA lesions, including DNA interstrand crosslinking agents. This work is crucial for developing improved treatments against chemoresistance and genetic diseases. Through my Ph.D. research, I have gained technical proficiency in various assays across cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and pharmacogenomics, as well as organizational skills such as teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and adaptability. Prior to that, I spent 6 years in the commercial sectors of pharmaceutical leaders, such as AstraZeneca, Pfizer, and GlaxoSmithKline, gaining a good understanding of the industry, developing robust interpersonal skills, and acquiring real-world experience with healthcare providers and patients. I am eager to leverage my passion and technical expertise in the dynamic and interdisciplinary environment of drug R&D.
