About Van Snowdon

With over 40 years of entrepreneurial experience in high-tech and telecommunications industries, I am a seasoned executive and board member with a passion for developing innovative business strategies. I have a proven track record of recognizing business opportunities and establishing successful start-up companies and have been both an investor and an owner in these entities. I have participated in over $1 billion of debt and equity financings and served on the board of multiple international companies. I now provide advisory services to boards and senior management teams. I am currently serving as a member of the board of directors at GeoLinks, a leading provider of broadband solutions to unserved and underserved areas. In this role I assist the company in evaluating new business opportunities such as key acquisitions and participating in government programs such as BEAD and E-Rate. I co-founded and served as the executive vice president of Conterra Ultra Broadband, a company that built, owned, and operated fiber and wireless broadband networks across thirteen states. I was responsible for the initiation and development of Conterra's E-Rate/Healthcare/Government organization, which generated over $600 million of revenues and brought internet services to over a million students, teachers and school administrators. I also led the strategic acquisition and integration of multiple key telecom businesses, expanding Conterra's footprint and capabilities. I leveraged my skills in sales management, government procurement, and business strategy to create value for the company, its stakeholders, and its customers.
