Background

About Vance Ragland

I am a senior at Cheltenham High School, a public school in Wyncote, PA. I am year in a specialized project-based learning (PBL) cohort. This year for the first time, all PBL seniors will participate in an internship during the Spring semester (January-May 2021). I am writing because I am interested in an internship opportunity with your organization. The PBL internship program at Cheltenham High School is designed to be project-based, benefitting the internship mentors as well as providing a learning opportunity for the students. I was born in Virginia and raised in Pennsylvania and grew up surrounded by the messianic Jewish faith. I am heavily indulged in academics such as math, languages, and Judaism. In PBL doing projects are our Magnumopus and one, in particular, was the 1619 project which was a massive historical showcase deconstructing of social past racism against Black Americans from 1619 to now in 2020. This organization offers freedoms, creativity, and teamwork like no other academic course offered in schools. Classrooms are proportioned for practicality and comfortability to stabilize a work ethic that matches college life and atmosphere. PBL gives opportunities to seek outside professionals, careers, and universities.
