About Vanda di Michele

LLB Candidate, 2025 Shaped by practical experience at the Crown Attorney's Office, my understanding of the criminal justice system fuels my aspiration to actively contribute to justice as a future criminal lawyer. Alongside my studies, I lead the Amicus Project with the ProBono Society as Director. This project is dedicated to protecting the rights of prisoners on death row—an extension of my commitment to criminal law. My legal journey includes substantial experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant and Case Management Co-Ordinator with the Ministry of the Attorney General. This hands-on experience involved assessing the sufficiency and admissibility of evidence, ensuring the completeness of legal briefs, and identifying opportunities to enforce provincial court jurisdiction. My most recent role as a student for Aird and Berlis LLP diversified my skill set and expanded my legal knowledge across a variety of legal disciplines. Before embarking on my legal path, I thrived in the dynamic world of media and broadcasting. Specifically, as a Copywriter Coordinator and Talk Show/Podcast Host, I cultivated strong communication skills and the ability to engage diverse audiences. With a comprehensive foundation, I'm excited to integrate my diverse knowledge as I pursue a career in criminal law upon completion of my LLB.
