About Vanesa Vilas

I started my career working as a Developer, and I was in development for many years, in different companies, technologies and platforms. As time passed I discovered that unlike other developers, I had special attention to communication, and a particular sense of abstraction to business. Over Time I became a Technical Analyst and Customer Specialist, I covered "the big picture" with both business and technical documentation and communication. But I also had the technical language background, so it allowed me to be a unique middle-man between the customer/business and the technical team. I also always found myself eager to know more about how users think, and how to provide tools to accomplish exactly what they needed. I eventually discovered the User/Customer Experience field, and found my passion in the IT: become a nexus between the users and the technical teams. As the years passed (almost 20 years of career OMG!), I became passionate for User Experience field and I tried to learn as much as I could about Customer Services. In all this years I worked in different roles, always advocating for the user/customer. Now that life has also made a mother out of me, I have found that my children (my little users) are also my passion. At the end of the day, my goal is to perform with excellence in both, Work and Motherhood.
