About Vanessa Ayala

I’m a fifth-year clinical psychology doctoral candidate with an interest in health psychology. My past research, current dissertation, and advanced therapy practicum all surround the importance of understanding and addressing mental health concerns in oncology patients and survivors. In addition to my academic work, I’m an advocate for accessible mental health services, especially in underserved communities. As a fluent Spanish speaker, I’m dedicated to providing culturally competent therapy to the Latine community, working to ensure that care is inclusive and sensitive to cultural needs. I’m always interested in connecting with professionals, researchers, and leaders in clinical psychology, healthcare, and community advocacy.
