About Vanessa Barberis

With 15 years of experience in California’s solid waste and recycling industry, I lead with preparation, partnership, and purpose. As a Public Sector Manager for WM, I support cities and counties across the Central Valley, including Lodi, Stockton, San Joaquin County, Merced County, Sonora, and Tuolumne County, through some of their most complex transitions. From state-mandated program launches to high-stakes contract renewals, I specialize in navigating change with clarity and confidence. My approach is proactive. I believe elected officials and public agencies deserve the tools and information they need before the calls start coming in. I build resources that empower decision-makers, coordinate outreach that builds public trust, and foster relationships that turn compliance into collaboration.Whether I am partnering with city staff, briefing a board of supervisors, or walking a neighborhood with a service map in hand, I bring practical solutions and a calm, strategic mindset to every conversation.Let’s connect if you are looking for leadership that shows up early, listens carefully, and helps communities move forward prepared, informed, and confident.
