About Vanessa Bonnard

An experienced, innovative senior scientist and team leader who has worked intensively in bio-nanotechnology providing chemistry solutions to develop new (therapeutic) products and bioassays. • Over 5 years’ experience in peptide chemistry and synthesis strategy as well as in analytical characterisation and purification methods for antiviral drug and DNA biosensor development. • For 10+ years, developing (sensing) technology platforms for early drug discovery as well as for (IV)-diagnostic markets. I have been exposed to all R&D aspects from the development of surface chemistry methods to conjugate diverse biomolecules at the surface of nanomaterials or SiOx chips, assay development, up to successfully implementing robust and reliable nanomaterial production and surface functionalisation processes. As a team leader R&D, I also learned on how to value relationships, actively working to build one-on-one associations as well as fostering healthy relationships among the community. In addition, I have also been working in a multidisciplinary environment, interacting with people from various background inside and outside R&D, being IP expert, BD, finance, investors, internally as well as externally when it came to collaborations or fundraising support.
